Ayurvedic Consultations

Our Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist forges partnerships with our clients focused towards the achievement of your health goals. Together you will design a plan as you move towards balance. The goal is not to generate a dependency upon our care, but ultimately for clients to be able to sustain their own health. To this end, she will be your ally, teacher, and cheerleader.

The initial consultation is a two hour session used to gather information about you and your lifestyle in order to determine your prakruti and state of imbalance. The next appointment is used to discuss the finding of the initial consultation and formulate a plan towards ultimate health and balance. Regular follow up visits are encouraged to continue on your path and be supported in reaching your goals.

Pillars of Ayurvedic treatment

Diet - Food is medicine and we consume it at quantities far beyond any other substance. On an Ayurvedic path to health we look at the qualities of food and determine which foods will guide us towards balance and which will lead to imbalance. But, harmony with our food comes from more than just what we eat, it also comes from how we eat.

Herbs - Herbal formulas are created to assist a person in their journey to whole health.

Daily routines - What we do in our daily life: when we wake up, when we eat, how we think about ourselves and our world deeply affect our health. Ayurveda looks at these rhythms in life and helps determine which are serving us, and which could change to serve us more.

Five Sense Therapies - Sound, color, aromatherapy, diet, and massage therapy are used to achieve constitutional balance.

Yoga - As the sister science to Ayurveda many of the branches of yoga such as asanas (postures), meditation, and pranayama (breath work) are used to cultivate harmony.

Cleansing/Rehabilitation - Tonification, palliation, or reduction therapies may be administered if needed.
