Patterns

Don’t just write…Revisit and read what you wrote.  Go back and notice if past interactions, reactions, and relationships are creating patterns so that you can recognize them and start to untangle them.  Then you can be free to create new habits and patterns that are going to serve you in the future.

What old patterns has journaling helped YOU identify and dismantle?  Please share below!

Much love,

Briana

  1. Such a great and timely video! I journal all the time but I never tied it to patterns of behavior in my life…I just always thought of it as more of a dumping out of my brain (it has ADHD and is full All. The. Time. ) I can’t tell you how helpful this is and I’m excited to use it in my 108 Rituals book! Thank you!

    1. Yay! Let me know how it goes.

  2. Thank you for your wisdom. And your realness. It makes a difference.

    1. You’re welcome. I’m so grateful you’re here.

  3. What a great idea!!! Thank you, Briana. I look forward to the next conversation with Briana!!!💖

    1. Thank you!

  4. Thanks for the tip. I will journal and see what emerges.

    1. You’re welcome!

  5. Thank you! This has been immensely helpful. I have realized that I’m repeating a very negative pattern that I learned from my Mom. I haven’t identified why I do it. I hope that with more reflection I may be able to correct it.

    1. You can always correct it Ella. Identifying it is the first step (nice job!), and then you can sit with it and see what’s underneath it. This is what I do with clients in our Soul Sessions – so I think it might be a great opportunity for you to feel it without resistance and see if it might be ready to move out.

  6. Briana,
Thank you….I am noticing patterns. Right now, I feel I am beginning to see many tangled things in my life…but…now I am so grateful to you because I know that learning what they are…will help me break free of so many blocks in my life….and open up my heart more everyday. I just love what you do…you’re family and those that work with you. The way you speak, right from you’re heart. You and you’re hubby are real, loving inspiration for the world..

    1. Thank you so much Jan. You are so kind.

  7. Hi Briana,

I journal off and on for years. For different reasons throughout the years; loneliness, pain, therapy, etc. I now journal for growth. For me.

Something I continue to do it write the time of day and my mood. It’s very helpful when I read back those pages.

I, like others, never thought of the patterns you speak of.

Thank you for pointing this out and allowing me to look at these pages and be mindful of it.

I’m hoping I see positive change in my pages to share

Loving RfT and the Dragontree family and extended family in our Facebook groups.

    Kim
