Shungite is about purification. Made of over 98% carbon in the form of “fullerenes” – molecules shaped like hollow spheres – it is  surprisingly light weight for its size. It has the ability to absorb and block electromagnetic fields, so it is commonly used to promote clarity, stability, and cleanness in the midst of this form of pollution. It is also anti-microbial. 

These substantial shungite spheres feel very good in the hand -- calming, emotionally purifying, and grounding to hold and keep nearby. 

They measure 2 to 2.2 inches in diameter and weigh 180 to 200 grams.

Please note: Crystals are natural products of the Earth. As such, they vary. Some may have internal cracks, small chips, hazy areas, varying colors, "phantom" shapes inside, rainbows (diffraction), and other variations. We have personally chosen and examined every one, and found them all to meet our high personal standards. Often, we find the qualities that would be considered "imperfections" from the standpoint of a jeweler to be exactly what makes a certain crystal especially unique and potent. We don't have the ability to allow you to choose a particular crystal, but offer these photos as representative sample of the batch we have, and we trust that you'll get the crystal that's right for you.
