Our first experience with sodalite was as young massage therapists working at a foot-spa 25 years ago. At the end of a long day of working on clients' feet, we'd usually feel like going to bed. But, if we were wearing or carrying sodalite, we'd get off work and feel like making evening plans. Of all the various powers attributed to crystals, many are subtle or some untrue (we always encourage users to meditate with their crystals and feel for themselves what's being offered), but the value of sodalite has always felt measurable. It consistently helped us feel that we weren't "bogged down" by the energy of the clients we were treating. 

Many sources consider sodalite a good stone for dispersing negativity, keeping one's personal (energetic) environment clean, and a key ally for a clear mind -- promoting clear, orderly, purposeful thinking. Some find it useful to dispel confusion and distraction, and to clarify one's thoughts without the intrusion of strong emotions. 

These sodalite spheres are some of the most beautiful we've seen, each one appearing like a watery planet. Perhaps there's some magic and healing potential in the ability to hold such a lovely expression of our treasured planet in one's palm. 

These spheres measure about 1.8 to 2 inches in diameter ang weigh 130-160 grams (about a third of a pound)

Please note: Crystals are natural products of the Earth. As such, they vary. Some may have internal cracks, small chips, hazy areas, varying colors, "phantom" shapes inside, rainbows (diffraction), and other variations. We have personally chosen and examined every one, and found them all to meet our high personal standards. Often, we find the qualities that would be considered "imperfections" from the standpoint of a jeweler to be exactly what makes a certain crystal especially unique and potent. We don't have the ability to allow you to choose a particular crystal, but offer these photos as representative sample of the batch we have, and we trust that you'll get the crystal that's right for you.
