We wanted enough of every active ingredient in the bottle to actually change how your skin looks, because ‘nice’ wasn’t the goal. We wanted to make something exceptional.

Where it came from
After 23 years of running spas, we'd tried nearly every facial product made. We kept looking for one that carried real actives down into the skin instead of resting on top of it.
Peter finally built it himself.
He's a botanist, scientist, and a doctor of natural medicine with 30 years of clinical practice. For about 15 years he asked - what actually belongs in a facial oil. Reading, sourcing, testing single ingredients, ruling things out.
He wanted one bottle that could do the work of a whole shelf, and he built the first one as a gift, long before either of us thought about selling anything.
The formula came together over this past year. 24 botanicals, and every one of them is in there working.

About the color
Sol Ora is red because of what's in it - astaxanthin, virgin pomegranate, sea buckthorn, all unrefined. You'll see that color going on, then it immediately disappears - the oil itself will sink in fully in about 20 minutes. Used right before bedtime, a little may come off on your pillowcase, and it washes right out.
