Beyond Valentine’s: We Are Love, Every Single Day

on

Hi, love—

Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but love? Love is still here. Always.

Maybe you celebrated with a beautiful meal, a night with friends, or maybe you skipped the whole thing altogether (because, let’s be honest, the commercial side of it can be a lot). But love isn’t about a single day—it’s in the way we show up, in the moments we soften, in the way we remember who we truly are.

Our family loves holidays, especially the ones we tweak to make our own. Phoenix always makes something special—some kind of handmade magic, a crafted gift, a little token of love. It’s tradition now, and honestly, one of my favorite parts of this season.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about love—not just the romantic kind, or the grand, sweeping gestures, but the deep, daily practice of love. The kind that weaves through our relationships, our communities, our work in the world. The kind that isn’t reserved for roses and heart-shaped chocolates (though I’ll never say no to those).

Love, to me, is a remembering. A returning to our true nature.

Because at the core, that’s what we are. Love. Every breath, every moment, is an invitation back to it.

And if I’m being honest, it’s been the most important practice of my life.

Not just in the moments that feel sweet and easy, but in the ones that stretch us. The ones that break us open. The ones where it would be easier to forget:

We are loving.
We are loved.
We are Love.

I come back to this truth in all of it—the heartbreaks, the disappointments, the wild highs and devastating lows. In the moments of frustration, when everything feels like it’s spinning just slightly out of control. When I lose my temper or don’t feel quite like myself. When there’s a mix-up at work and I wish things had gone differently.

Love is always inviting me back.

Love for my family, my clients, my team. Love for this planet, for all its creatures. And, maybe the hardest one of all—love for myself.

I am love.
You are love.

It’s not always easy, but it does get easier with practice.

So today, I invite you to come back to love.

Where can you soften?
Who can you forgive?
How can you offer yourself more love?

In Sacred Expansion (which returns in April!), we create mantras that anchor us in love. I invite you to try this today—repeat it until it settles into your bones:

I am love.
I am loved.

Let’s not save love for a single day. Let’s make it something we return to—again and again.

With love,
B
