The sauna is part of the full Sanctuary experience on Broadway in Boulder, alongside cold plunges, a cedar hot tub, steam room, salt room, and forest showers.

Sauna has long been a place for restoration, reflection, and connection. At The Dragontree, that ancient ritual lives within a temple-like setting devoted to deep care.
Come alone and settle inward, or share the experience with friends. There is nowhere to rush and nothing to accomplish. Simply follow what feels nourishing.
What to expect in the cedar sauna
Find a comfortable place on the cedar bench and allow the warmth to work gradually. Muscles soften. Breathing deepens. The mind grows quieter.
Stay awhile, cool down, and return whenever you feel called. Your 90-minute session is yours to shape.

For an invigorating shift, follow the sauna with a rinse beneath the forest showers and a dip in the cold plunge. The movement between deep warmth and bracing cold leaves many guests feeling clear, energized, and completely present.
A few Sanctuary notes
Swimwear is required in communal spaces, and guests shower before entering. The Sanctuary is phone-free and welcomes guests ages 16 and older.
Reserve your Sanctuary Session
A 90-minute Sanctuary Session is $67, with a weekday rate of $47 Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests booking a massage or spa treatment of 60 minutes or longer may add a Sanctuary Session for $20.
Cedar Sauna questions
Is it a dry sauna or a steam sauna?
Our cedar sauna is a dry sauna. If you love moist heat, the Sanctuary also has a steam room, and both are included in every Sanctuary Session.
How long should I stay in the sauna?
Stay as long as feels comfortable. Many guests start with a shorter round and build up over the session. If you feel woozy or unwell in any way, step out and rest.
Is the sauna included in a Sanctuary Session?
Yes. Every 90-minute Sanctuary Session includes the cold plunges, cedar hot tub, cedar sauna, steam room, salt room (halotherapy), and forest showers. Sessions are $67, or $47 Mon-Thurs, 9a-4p. You can also add a Sanctuary Session to your 60 minute (or longer) treatment for $20.
I'm new to heat and cold. Is that okay?
Care for your body: if you feel woozy or unwell in any way, stop your session. Start gently and go at your own pace, and if you're pregnant or have a health concern, check with your doctor before using the heat or cold.
What should I bring?
Swimwear is required in all communal spaces. If you don't have appropriate clothing, speak to a Sanctuary attendant. Please do not bring any valuables, such as jewelry, to the Sanctuary. We'll provide a towel and sandals.
