The Cheetah Conservation Fund

This month The Dragontree has donated to The Cheetah Conservation Fund’s annual auction, BIG CAT, BIG PARTY, that will be held on Sunday, October 6th at the Oregon Zoo. The CCF was established in 1990 to help stabilize the cheetah population. Funds are needed to allow them to continue their farmer and land-use education, genetics research and community development programs.

It is estimated that the cheetah in the wild could become extinct in less than 20 years if continued action is not established. BIG CAT, BIG PARTY contributions help sustain the achievements in livestock farmer education and guard dog programs that are fostering peaceful co-existence between cheetahs and people, and will allow their work to continue in helping to influence and educate children so that the next generation will continue to appreciate and respect the important role the wild cheetah plays in the environment. It will also help in the reintroduction and relocation of wild cheetahs into traditional habitat not only in Africa but in other parts of the world, as requested by host countries.
